Thanks to all for such wonderful acts of kindness and love shown to us not just during our anniverary but over the past three years. May God continue to bless Meadow members collectively and individually. ~Pastor and First Lady~ 8/15/2010
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4 (KJV) Over the past, few weeks I have heard many saints and friends speak of this year as the "year of new beginnings". This phrase comes from the meaning of the number eight, as the number for new beginnings. When we think of new beginnings, our thoughts are full with excitement and expectation that newness will bring about a change for the better. There has been a move within the Body of Christ, over the past several years that have brought about numerous changes. Scores of these changes are obviously a move of the Holy Spirit as he leads God's children into greater works for the glory of God. However, some of the changes that have occurred over the past few years challenge us, as followers of Christ, to discern their effectiveness and authenticity. When thinking of new beginnings, I’m reminded that anything new requires a foundation to build upon. That foundation may already exist or it may require that we build it a new. Whatever the circumstance, the foundation is the key to any new endeavor. As we journey into this New Year my prayer is that we, as followers of Christ, will focus on foundation principles that strengthen our walk with Christ and provide support in times of change. I pray that we first seek guidance from our Heavenly Father through prayer (James 5:16). Secondly, when God provides the guidance that we seek, let us be obedient and diligent to the direction given unto us (Hebrews 10:36). As a final point, let us always give God all of the glory, honor, and praise (Psalm 86:11-13). Grace and Peace Pastor Adams
About Our Pastor Rev. Adams accepted his call to the preaching ministry in 2002 under the leadership of Rev. Kenneth Davis of Mt. Olive East Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
